RosaMundi is the creative solo project of singer/songwriter and harpist Kelly Miller-Lopez. Named after her matrilineal great great grandmother, and inspired by the rich musical tapestry of her ancestral lineage, RosaMundi’s debut recording is an original concept album titled The Far Western Shore. The album explores ideas around the immigration of her ancestors, that eventually led to her arrival in California, the place of her birth, on the farthest western shore.
After more than 18 years as the lead singer, harpist and flautist in the band Woodland, Kelly Miller-Lopez has emerged with this new project, which features a variety of ancient, classical, and modern instrumentation. The concert will feature original songs from the forthcoming album.
The RosaMundi main stage Faerieworlds debut will feature some very special recording artists who have already been adding their magic to the production of the album. Martine Kraft will be featured on hardingfiddle, (Norway) Guilhem Desq on hurdy gurdy (France) as well as other exquisite instrumentalists, some familiar, some new to the scene. Kelly’s original songwriting will also be accompanied by her voice and harp, bouzouki/guitar, stand-up bass, drums/percussion, and two female harmony vocalists.
